With its 160 thousand inhabitants, Pecs is Hungary’s fifth biggest town. An industrial town and with its surrounding area of 400,000 inhabitants it is also the economic centre of South Hungary.
With its 30,000 university students, it justly qualifies as a university-town, and easily provides highly-qualified, foreign language speaking professionals to employers in the fields of economics, technical-, natural-, and medical sciences.
Public transport and goods transit are assisted by the M6 motorway, the container train station at Pecs, and the Pecs-Pogany Airport within a 50 km radius. Water freight is facilitated at Mohacs and Baja river-ports, and international sea freight is managed by Rijeka’s sea-port (distance 400 km, Croatia).
The geographical extension of Pecs towards its North is restricted by the Mecsek Hills, therefore the consequences of the town spreading towards the south makes IPARK attractive, especially economically and logistically, in the upcoming years. For our investors, IPARK’s building plots with fully-serviced public utilities are available straight away with purchase or letting possibilities.
